Geranium cinereum ‘Carol’

Dwarf Cranesbill

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.229.090

The hardy Cranesbill Geraniums include a number of varieties best suited to the rock garden or for edging, in well-drained sunny sites. This British introduction forms a low cushion of dark-green leaves, with bright magenta-purple, black-eyed flowers resting on the trailing stems. Begins blooming in late spring, continuing on and off through the summer, especially in regions with cool weather. Nice also in alpine troughs or mixed containers. Clip plants lightly after flowering is over, to promote bushy growth from the middle. Developed in Britain by plant breeder Carl Lowe and introduced by Future Plants of the Netherlands. USPP#14124, CPBR#2398: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
