Digitalis grandiflora

Yellow Foxglove

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.190.150

(=Digitalis ambigua) This truly perennial species of Foxglove is easy to grow and deserves more recognition. It forms a low rosette of dark green leaves, bearing upright stalks of beautiful creamy-yellow bells through the summer. Each flower is intricately marked with brown on the inside. The lovely soft shade allows this plant to blend with nearly anything. Excellent for cutting. Remove faded flowers to encourage more buds to form. Any seedlings that appear may be easily moved in early spring. Does not need staking. CAUTION: Toxic if eaten.
