Dianthus barbatus ‘Dash Magician’

Sweet William

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.185.470

Sweet William is an old-fashioned cottage garden plant. This selection from the Dash series is unusual because it acts as a long-lived perennial, instead of a biennial. It bears masses of showy clusters of fragrant ‘magical’ flowers that open white and mature to shades of pink and rose, late spring into summer. Excellent as a cut flower. Plants are easily divided in early autumn or spring. Remove fading flowers to encourage more buds to form. Prune plants back hard in midsummer if they become scruffy or floppy.
