Dianthus ‘Diamond Flash’

Border Pinks

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.181.400

Border Pinks have been popular in gardens for centuries. This selection produces large, fringed, bright white blossoms that have a perfect magenta-purple eye. The flowers are held erect on long, upright stems over a compact mound of steel-blue leaves. As the flowers age, they take on a pink blush which radiates from the centre. The flowers also have a spicy fragrance which only adds to an already wonderful bouquet. Attractive to butterflies. Deadhead regularly to encourage more buds to form. Plants require good drainage and are an excellent choice for hot dry sites or gravelly soils. Combines beautifully with other low alpine plants. The flower petals of all types of Dianthus are edible. Evergreen. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
