Delphinium ‘Connecticut Yankees’

Delphinium

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.176.150

This type of Delphinium is more branching in habit than the more familiar spiky types. Plants form a low mound of deeply-cut green leaves, bearing bushy, upright stems with loads of single, satiny flowers in a range of shades, from blue through to purple, lavender and white. Excellent for the smaller garden, also nice in mixed containers. In hot, humid summer regions, plants do not usually last more than 2 to 3 years. Use a high phosphorous fertilizer each year, in early spring. Plants should not need to be staked. Excellent for cutting. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
