Campanula latifolia ‘Gloaming’

Giant Bellflower

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.110.690

One of the taller types of Bellflower, this forms a bushy upright clump of deep green leaves. Large dangling bell-shaped blooms appear along the stems and to the tips in early summer, in a soft smoky lavender-blue shade. May be inclined to spread into a large patch in time, although this selection is said to spread more slowly than the species itself. Cut back hard after flowering to prevent self seeding. Plants may require staking, particularly when grown in rich soil. An outstanding cutflower.
