Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Sprite’

Dwarf Astilbe

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.087.520

Astilbe are a popular choice for shady gardens, where they perform well if given a rich, moist soil and regular watering. This dwarf selection features delicate shell-pink plumes, over a compact mound of elegant, bronzy leaves. Also thrives in tubs, or mixed containers. Excellent for a low groundcover or edging. Nice for cutting. Seed heads may be removed, or left on the plant for winter interest. Plants should be divided every 2 to 3 years, in early spring. Will tolerate full sun, in cool summer regions. A former Perennial Plant of the Year.
