Androsace lanuginosa

Woolly Rock Jasmine

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.039.100

The silvery-grey evergreen rosettes of this species form a low carpet. Umbels of pale-pink fragrant flowers appear in summer, each with a red eye. Very charming growing in a trough, gravel scree or on a wall. Requires excellent drainage, so ideal for growing in crevices between large boulders. In warm regions this appreciates protection from hot afternoon sun. Received a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (1993).
