Aconitum ‘Eleonara’

Monkshood

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.015.080

A recently introduced hybrid Monkshood, bearing tall spikes of blooms in mid to late summer. The pouch-shaped ivory-white flowers have a hairline edging of soft blue. Foliage is dark green and deeply-cut on the edges. An outstanding cut flower. Grows best in a rich, moist soil – away from thirsty tree roots. In warm regions plants will appreciate protection from hot afternoon sun. Stems may require staking, particularly in windy locations. Clumps may be divided every 3 to 4 years, in early spring. CAUTION: toxic if eaten/harmful via skin.
