(='Carfit01') Sedges are grass-like plants, mostly preferring sites with moist, rich soil. This selection from the Evercolor® series forms a low cascading clump of leathery dark green leaves, with crisp, white margins. Brownish flowers are insignificant. A choice plant for edging, or in the rock garden. This is a well-behaved plant. Discovered in a tissue culture laboratory in Ireland in August 2006 by Pat FitzGerald of FitzGerald Nurseries of Kilkenny, Ireland. Mutation of C. ‘Evergold’. If the tips of the leaves get wind-burn over the winter, they may be trimmed with scissors in the spring. Clumps may be divided in early spring. Tolerates dry shade with occasional watering. Evergreen. USPP#20955: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
