Persicaria affinis Dimity

Dwarf Fleeceflower

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.406.500

(='Superba') Dwarf Fleeceflower deserves to be grown more in our gardens, for its indestructible habit and attractive appearance. Plants form a spreading mat of deep green, leathery leaves, which turn bronzy-red in the fall. Short spikes of deep-red poker flowers appear throughout the summer, fading to soft pink. Excellent when used as a groundcover in either sun or part shade, especially effective around dwarf conifers. Also nice in the rock garden, or for edging. Drought tolerant once established. Plants are easily divided in early spring.
