Veronica spicata Moody Blues® Dark Blue

Spike Speedwell

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.540.950

(='Novaverblu') Spike Speedwell is the most popular of the various Veronicas available. This compact selection, from the Moody Blues® series, forms a bushy clump of dark-green leaves, bearing upright spikes of purple-blue flowers through the summer months, right up until frost. Removing faded spikes will keep plants in flower for much longer. Excellent for cutting. Easily divided in fall or early spring. Powdery mildew is sometimes a problem, but growing plants in a moist site will help to prevent this disease. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. USPP#26602: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
