Sedum ‘Black Jack’

Autumn Stonecrop

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.485.830

A selection introduced by Walters Gardens in Michigan, this produces a sturdy, upright mound of succulent purple-black leaves. Clusters of bright-pink flowers appear by late summer, lasting into the autumn before changing into brown seed heads for winter. Promises to be a first-rate selection with a strong, self-supporting habit. Should be terrific in the border as well as in containers. Pinch or prune plants back by half in June to keep them shorter, if desired. Trim back to the ground in early spring. A sport from the popular selection 'Matrona'. USPP#16736, CPBRAF: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
