Beard-tongues are native North American wildflowers, available in a surprising range of colours, heights and textures. This hybrid selection forms a low clump of thick, glossy green foliage, with upright spikes of bright pink trumpet flowers rising above in late spring/early summer. Attractive in the border, containers and useful for cutting. Long blooming. An excellent low-maintenance perennial, especially for hot, dry sites. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. The ‘Riding Hood’ Series of Beard-tongue was bred to provide winter-hardy plants with a longer flowering period and numerous, showy flowers. USPP#23089: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
