Panicum virgatum ‘Dallas Blues’

Tall Switch Grass

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 8.290.080

Switch Grass is one of the easiest and most attractive ornamental grasses, with no tendency to spread or become troublesome. This tall selection has exceptionally wide blue leaves, bearing huge airy heads of tiny mauve-pink in late summer. The flower plumes are significantly larger and more showy than other forms on the market. Usually attractive in the garden all winter long. Flowers are good for cutting, fresh or dried. Trim back to the ground in early spring. Drought tolerant once established. Introduced by Change of Scenery Nursery in Columbus, Ohio. USPP#11202: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
