Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This large-growing selection has pointy dark-green leaves with outstanding heavy corrugation. Taller stems of pale-lavender flowers appear in July. A terrific big specimen Hosta. Clumps may be easily divided in the spring or fall.
