Hosta ‘Lipstick Blonde’

Hosta

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.710.890

Hostas are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This medium-sized selection is one-of-a-kind and adds a pop of colour. It features lance-shaped, waxy, vibrant yellow foliage with a cloudy finish on contrasting red stems. Lavender bell-shaped flowers on arching stems appear midsummer. This cultivar requires six hours of sun each day in order to keep the vivid yellow colouration. Great for planting in mixed containers or tubs. Hostas go completely dormant in fall, and the dying foliage can be removed anytime before mid-spring. Easily divided in early spring or fall, but plants may be left alone for years.
