A rare recent selection of the popular Christmas Rose. This forms a sturdy clump of leathery, evergreen leaves, bearing fluffy-looking double blooms consisting of snow-white petals surrounding a tuft of yellow stamens. Flowers appear in mid-winter to mid-spring, depending on the climate. In mild winter climates, it may indeed flower by Christmas. All Hellebores resent being disturbed, so avoid moving or dividing mature plants if at all possible. Avoid pruning. Bred in the Netherlands. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
