Echinacea purpurea ‘Primadonna Deep Rose’

Purple Coneflower

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.196.810

An improved strain of this popular native wildflower. Plants form a low clump of coarse green leaves. Upright stems hold a long display of large magenta-pink daisies with a deeper orange to brown cone in the center. Flowering starts in midsummer and continues for weeks. Coneflowers are sturdy and carefree perennials. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Seed heads are useful in dried arrangements. Plants may be easily divided in early spring. Self-sown plants can also be moved at that time. Excellent for cutting. Adapts to a wide variety of soil conditions.
