Echinacea purpurea ‘PowWow White’
White Coneflower |
USDA Zone: 3-9 |
Plant number: 1.650.310
An outstanding new introduction from PanAm Seed Co., counterpart to E. purpurea ‘PowWow Wild Berry’, this selection has the same compact habit but features pure white petals overlapping a golden-yellow cone. Loads of blooms over many weeks. Coneflowers are sturdy and easy-care perennials that perform best in a sunny location. Flowers are very attractive to butterflies. Removing faded flowers regularly will greatly incease the blooming period. Seed heads provide good winter interest and food for wintering birds. Are also useful in dried arrangements. Outstanding for cutting. Plants may be easily divided in early spring. Any seedlings that appear can also be moved at that time. All-America Selections Award Winner.
