Dianthus Kahori®

Border Pinks

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.181.430

Border Pinks have been popular in gardens for centuries. This new outstanding variety from Japan forms a low clump of grassy grey-green foliage, with a long summer display of fragrant, semi-double, lilac-pink blooms. Well suited for edging and in the rock garden. Attractive to butterflies. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. Consider shearing plants back after main flush of bloom to maintain a tight, compact habit and to promote additional bloom in late summer or early fall. Plants may be propagated by division in early spring every 3-4 years. Evergreen. “Kahori” means fragrance in Japanese.
