Dianthus ‘Gold Dust’

Border Pinks

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.180.540

Border Pinks have been popular in gardens for centuries. This selection forms a low mound of grassy blue-green leaves. Upright stems of single deep-red carnation style flowers appear in early summer, the petals dappled with metallic gold flecks. Well suited to edging any sunny border, or for growing in the rock garden. Plants should be trimmed lightly after blooming to maintain a tight, compact mound. Not always easy to divide, but this can be attempted in spring or early fall. Evergreen.
