Carex caryophyllea ‘The Beatles’

Spring Sedge

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 8.090.650

This Sedge is well named for its mop-headed appearance. Plants form a low clump of dark green leaves with the appearance of a 1960's hairdo. Greenish flowers are insignificant. Interesting as an edging plant for moist areas, even happy growing at the waterside. Also attractive in rock gardens or mixed containers. Evergreen in mild regions. Clumps may be lightly trimmed in early spring. Easily divided in spring.
