Aster × frikartii Wonder of Stafa

Hybrid Aster

USDA Zone: 5-9

Plant number: 1.085.790

(='Wunder von Stäfa') This is one of several hybrid Asters, or Michaelmas Daisies, with an extremely long season of bloom. Plants form a bushy mound of light green leaves, bearing branching stems violet-blue daisy flowers beginning in mid summer and lasting through the fall. Superb as container plants, or in a well-drained sunny border. Great for cutting. Excellent resistance to powdery mildew. In regions with wet soil in winter, best success will be had growing these in a raised bed with excellent drainage. This selection is bushy and should not usually require extra support.
