Achillea millefolium Fireland

Yarrow

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.010.340

(='Feuerland') The Yarrows are among the best perennials for planting in hot, dry and sunny locations, providing good colour throughout the summer months. This hybrid features large clusters of fire-engine red flowers, aging to peachy yellow, over a bushy mound of ferny green leaves. Excellent for cutting, fresh or dried. Remove faded flowers regularly to promote continued blooming. Inclined to spread, so site this carefully or plan to reduce the clumps each spring. Easily divided in fall or early spring. Trim back hard after the first flush of bloom to maintain a compact habit. Heat tolerant.
