Title: Cimicifuga simplex 'Brunette'
Photographer: John Schroeder
Comments:
Photographed at Minter Gardens, Chilliwack BC. Fragrant, long lived, striking foliage, no wonder this remains one of owner John Schroeder's favourite perennials of all time. We're still calling this plant Cimicifuga, instead of Actaea, which is what the botanists changed the name to a few years ago. Since those who make a living naming plants have a habit of changing names regularly, we're waiting to see if it gets changed back.
